A native of British Columbia, Drew followed his passion for wild places and community into the mountains, building a life early on between the Rockies, Yukon and Canadian High Arctic. It was this shared love of exploratory wilderness travel and his specialism in guiding in the Arctic that brought him together with us here in East Greenland, another tiny community and pristine wild place where he's formed a deep bond and close friends. He brings together a quiver of skills that's the mark of having spent a lot of time up north - anything from fixing outboard engines and hauling kit around by snowmobile on sea ice, to managing polar bears.
Drew has worked as an avalanche technician for Avalanche Canada in the Yukon and is a member of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG), certified as a ski and trekking guide. He's kind and thoughtful and it means a lot to us to spend time in the mountains with him. Whether out on these wild shores or high in the mountains, it's clear he shares our love for places that are sacred to us all.
