David, a passionate skier/climber and highly active IFMGA guide, has built a life in the mountains. Starting out on the sandstone outcrops near his childhood home in Newcastle before moving on to the grit of the Peak District whilst studying at Sheffield university, his path led on to the Alps where he qualified as an ISIA ski/snowboard instructor and mountain guide.
From rope-solos of the American Direct on the Drus to wild splitboard touring (and basejumping!) he really enjoys exploring wild unexplored areas, which is why Greenland holds a big place in his heart. Whether spending the cold season skiing/snowboarding in the solitude of the massive glacial valleys that only finish at the sea ice, or in the summer months exploring the unlimited alpine opportunities of the unnamed and untouched peaks, David makes for a good team mate and motivated guide on any wild adventure.
