With the travel uncertainties caused by COVID-19, we have put in place the following measures to offer more peace of mind when planning a trip with us. Our remote location on this wild coastline dictates long lead-times in preparing for our trips, but we have taken steps to ensure your commitment is safeguarded whilst we still have the means to be fully prepared.
Land-based trip costs
We have committed to carrying forward all funds paid for the land-based cost of your trip, as below:
Deposits
To cover the outlay for supplies, deposits are non-refundable. However, at any time up to 10 weeks before the start of your trip, should COVID-19 travel restrictions in your home country, any countries through which you must transit (including Iceland), or Greenland, prohibit you from travelling to Kulusuk to join the trip, we will be happy to transfer your deposit to a future trip.
Full payment
We have pushed final balance payments as late as possible – now due 10 weeks before your trip starts. Having paid the final balance should COVID-19 travel restrictions in your home country, any countries through which you must transit (including Iceland), or Greenland, prohibit you from travelling to Kulusuk to join the trip, we will transfer the balance paid to a future trip.
Quarantines
If compulsory quarantine measures dictate that to undertake a trip is not feasible we will endeavour to transfer all funds paid to a future trip.
Flight costs and airline cancellation fees
Icelandair, serving the route between Reykjavik and Kulusuk, has so far issued immediate full refunds for flights it has cancelled due to Greenland travel restrictions and this policy is set to continue. In some instances (if travel from your home country is not feasible, or you do not wish to travel, for example) it may be necessary for us to cancel your flight booking on your behalf. Cancellation fees are detailed below and will be deducted from any funds carried forward.

Fees are charged as a % of total airfare, excluding taxes. Tickets are issued by Icelandair upon payment by Pirhuk, 10-weeks prior to departure. Additional bags (ski bags etc.) are non-refundable at any time
