There's a great deal of media coverage on the melting of Greenland's Inland Ice at the moment. NHK television, one of Japan's main stations, called us in to organise the film crew safety involved in the shoot.
The project took a small team out onto the Icecap around 100km to the east of Ilulissat. From a camp, the crew then filmed scientists at work on glacier moulin - large meltwater holes that bore through the ice. GES guide Lorenz Frutiger set up then closely supervised rope access into some of the holes.
